Saturday, March 31st is the 3rd Annual Goth Prom! One of my favorite artist's is headlining, Covenant!! There will also be lots of wonderful performers and DJ's. I just found out that I will be DJing a set for the event. Yay!! lol Last year I had the honor to MC the event with another personal favorite, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult! Total blast!! I spent about 15 years as a promoter. At times, I was doing a show per week... in different genres. I believe it was 2004, maybe 03 when Covenant came to town for their "Northern LIghts" tour. I worked it out for Covenant to headline my annual "Vampire's Ball" at the Odgen Theater. When I look at my career as a promoter, that was 1 of my best events! It was a successful show and the guys with Covenant were great to work with. Super nice and very professional! Everybody that was a part of the show was amazing! I doubt that the guys will remember me but I do have 1 thing going for me that they may remember. Besides performers, I liked to do fashion shows. At that time there were some really awesome and talented designers! Anyway, we had a show with about 15 models. Now if you've been backstage at the Ogden you know there isn't or wasn't a lot of dressing room space. It would have been very inconvenient not to do makeup and dress the models somewhere other than the dressing room. So I cleared it with Covenant's management that they would be sharing a dressing room with models. Generally headliners get their own dressing room. They were totally cool about it. But anyway part of the fun of the night was the guys hanging out with all of the girls. lol They were total gentlemen! What a great memory and so much fun!!
